Hi guys, It’s Chapa here today I’m going to be reviewing Battlefield 3. Battlefield 3 came out last year, October 25, 2011. It was around the time Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 came out, so it basically started a MW3 vs. BF3 debate. Everyone argued COD fans said MW3 has better, and BF fans said BF3 was better. Here’s a pic of campaign.
Not bad eh? The Battlefield 3 campaign was all right, it was like MW3’s campaign, it’s a okay campaign, not really the best, but the graphics in this game are very good. Battlefield 3 used the Frostbite 2 game engine for this game. The graphics looks beautiful, and if you have it to the highest, playing BF3 on PC with ultra high graphic settings, it’s amazing. Now let’s go on to the multiplayer, which is basically the part that everyone plays BF3 for. In the multiplayer, you can do more than in MW3’s multiplayer. You can fly jets, drive jeeps, tanks, humvees etc., fly helicopters, do a lot of stuff. BF3 maps are very big, so that’s another thing making it different from MW3. BF3 is open space.
However, there are some flaws with Battlefield 3. People say it’s realistic, some do, but when you actually play it, it doesn’t seem that realistic. If you’ve seen those videos where the jeeps and boats are flying, you can tell it’s unrealistic. If you want a more realistic game, join the army, or play the ARMA games. There is also still the BSing in Battlefield, where you get killed unfairly. But I guess that happens in all games right? Another thing which for me I hate, like in Battlefield, is that it feels like to me it takes more shots to kill someone than in Call of Duty. I have Battlefield 3 for Xbox 360, and it feels like it takes more hits to kill someone. Last thing I hate about Battlefield are the spawns. If you spawn at an objective say in Conquest, which is like Domination for COD,, it’s really easy to get spawn killed if there’s a lot of enemies there. A lot of times you can get killed when you spawn on a teammate, you get killed which is really frustating because you don’t even get a chance to survive. And you can get killed at your own base. In some maps, you can get sniped at your own base, or be killed by helicopters who camp your spawn.
Overall, this is a pretty good game, which if you get played frustated with Call of Duty, should think about playing Battlefield 3. On a scale of 1-10, I’d give this game an 8.5/10 rating. Not the perfect game since it still has flaws, but it’s decent.
