What a wonderful idea! Paying tribute to how people used to watch movies at home. How trailers used to look. A great idea. Probably wasn’t Stallone’s.
It also fits for Expendables 2 since the movie is filled with action stars. The old one’s like Stallone, Arnold, Lundgren, etc. were all 80s stars too.
There’s only a couple things wrong with this though. It’s the effects they put on it. VHS’s did not jitter and mess up like that unless you were watching it in a car while driving on a bumpy road. And this is straight from the heart. From experience when I was a kid going out to eat dinner at a restaurant on rare ocassions or going on long trips for vacation… good times… good times…
