Characters For ‘S.H.I.E.L.D’ TV Series Revealed

Hooray! Some news on the new ‘SHIELD’ TV series! The character names and descriptions of the leads in the show were revealed!

Skye: This late-20s woman sounds like a dream: fun, smart, caring and confident – with an ability to get the upper hand by using her wit and charm.

Agent Grant Ward: Quite the physical specimen and “cool under fire,” he sometimes botches interpersonal relations. He’s a quiet one with a bit of a temper, but he’s the kind of guy that grows on you.

Agent Althea Rice: Also known as “The Calvary,” this hard-core soldier has crazy skills when it comes to weapons and being a pilot. But her experiences have left her very quiet and a little damaged.

Agent Leo Fitz and Agent Jemma Simmons: These two came through training together and still choose to spend most of their time in each other’s company. Their sibling-like relationship is reinforced by their shared nerd tendencies – she deals with biology and chemistry, he’s a whiz at the technical side of weaponry.

If you’re a hardcore comic book fan, you’ll notice that these are all new characters that were not in the comics. Is this a bad thing? No, not really. Don’t forget that the beloved Agent Colson was not from the comics either. Joss Whedon also has his hand in this, so don’t worry, even if this will be on the ABC Network, it shouldn’t be too bad. It has a chance of being good.

Hulk To Get His Own Film After ‘Avengers 2’?

Total Film reports that MTV was talking with producer Kevin Fiege about another Hulk film and if it’s possible.

“Do I think Hulk can carry a movie and be as entertaining as he was in Avengers?” questioned Feige. “I do believe that. I do believe he absolutely could. We certainly are not even going to attempt that until Avengers 2, so there’s a lot of time to think about it.”

“I don’t think there’s a lot that we couldn’t do someday,” continues Feige, “as the cinematic universe continues to grow and expand and get as big as the comic book universe. Planet Hulk is a cool story. World War Hulk is a cool story.”

“I think there’s pitfalls of continuity-overload, and mythology getting so dense that it almost collapses in on itself [with those cosmic projects]. It happens every few decades or so in the comics. Apart from that, I’d say everything is on the table.”

I do agree with Kevin Fiege on this one. Hulk is a very interesting and thrilling guy to watch on the screen. He was pretty boss in the ‘Avengers’ this year. Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner made it much better too. The past two independent Hulk films sucked, and we all know it. I hated Edward Norton and I was so glad he wasn’t coming back for Avengers.

All they really need is a good writer and someone to get a good story outline going. Preferably a comic book writer who has experience with Hulk. That would be much more dependable should I say? It was just leave the stress off of us fans knowing that a proffesional comic book writer is writing the story or screenplay for the film instead of a screenwriter who is just a fan of Hulk and apparently ‘read all of the comics as a kid’.

See Hulk again in ‘Avengers 2’ which is set to hit theaters May 1, 2015.

Joss Whedon Discusses Concerns About ‘Avengers 2’

Hey Avengers fanboys! More news on ‘The Avengers 2’ for you! So early last month, you probably saw our post announcing Joss Whedon signing on to direct the sequel to his smash hit.

You would think it’d be a no-brainer to come back, right? Not for Mr. Whedon, who apparently had a very long thought over the subject.

“There’s a business aspect to it and I would be disingenuous not to say that, but the question for me is, ‘Do I have another story to tell about these people?’ So we worked on the business side of it and I didn’t think it was going to happen – I was like ‘I’m never going to do this again.”

Don’t sweat, kids. Read on below.

“But once they worked on the business aspect of it I thought, ‘That seems fair and cool’, so, the question was, ‘Do I have another thing to say?’ I was in London and I went to a pub and had some fish and chips and a pint and started writing in my notebook. I’m writing ‘if I was going to do this what would I say?’ and 40 minutes later I filled the notebook. So I text my agent and said to make the deal.”

Joss Whedon will prove that there is always a story to tell, as he finally had realized while thinking the matter over at a pub in London.

“I’m so in love with that universe and the characters and the way they were played and I have so much more I want to do with them. I know I can’t match the success of the first one but I can try to make a better film and that’s what I’m excited about. That’s the new room of fear I’m entering now.”

Joss Whedon is back. It’s been official for almost two months now. Be happy Avengers fanboys. Be happy.

‘The Avengers 2’ is set to release in theaters May 1, 2015.

‘Avengers’ Alternate Opening Deleted Scene

Another deleted scene to feast your eyes on Avengers fans!

I understand why they took this out of the film. It was unnecessary since the conflict she had with Fury was not touched on in the film again. So this was just a irrelevant plot point. Along with her decent acting, this scene really wasn’t anything to talk about.

Starting the film off with a sad tone wouldn’t of been to good either. The actual opening they used I thought was perfect. Action packed, Nick Fury. And when I first saw this girl agent, I leaned over to my sister and said “How I Met Your Mother”.

It’s nice to see deleted scenes if you love the movie they’re coming from. But in the end, they were taken out because they were irrelevant to the film.

‘Avengers’ Bruce Banner Deleted Scene

Apparently, there’s suppose to be an Ant-Man reference in the beginning. I believe it’s when the security guard says, “Or a little guy who sometimes blows up large”. Yeah, I know nothing about Ant-Man, oh well.

Well, this was a deleted scene from the Avengers, which you probably know by now.

This was most likely taken out of the film for pacing issues. A lot of people think the dialogue is “terrible for a Whedon film”. I really don’t see any problem with it. All I can think of is that it would slow the pacing down since it’s switching back and forth with this and fighting aliens to save earth in an epic battle.

Either way, this is pretty cool. Especially for the hardcore Avengers fans. Do you think this should’ve stayed in the film or do you agree with it not being taken out? Tell us in the comments below or on Twitter!
